Diet Tube - First two weeks
In more detail, breakfast consists of a cup of skim milk or a cup of nonfat yogurt, in which a specific and customized amount of DIET TUBE protein is added. That meal provides a significant amount high biological value protein, which helps maintain muscle mass, while laying the foundations for the mobilization of adipose tissue at the same time. The intermediate snack is of a similar form.
Lunch is designed to supplement the increased daily intake of high biological value protein through food. To that end, it consists of meat, fish or seafood, which are consumed either grilled or boiled, with salad with a small amount of olive oil.
For a light dinner, a salad with vegetables which should be as varied as possible is recommended.
Diet Tube - Third week
During the third and final week of the protocol, carbohydrates (whose intake has been limited during the past two weeks, in order to achieve ketosis) -a process during which the body uses fat stores in order to produce the energy it needs for all its daily functions- are gradually introduced into the diet of the individual, in the form of fruits and whole grain cereals. Once more, the meals the individual consumes during this week are four: breakfast, lunch, dinner and an intermediate snack.
Breakfast consists of a cup of skim milk or a cup of nonfat yogurt, in which the protein containing 1 sachet of DIET TUBE has been dissolved, in order to continue ketosis and keep the individual feeling full for a significant period of time during the day. The intermediate snack, which again can be either midmorning or afternoon, consists of a medium-sized seasonal fruit.
The philosophy behind lunch is still the same, except that this week you are allowed to eat eggs or lean cheese, besides meat, fish, seafood or poultry, along with a variety of fresh seasonal vegetables. Dinner is comprised of a salad which consists of a specific and customized amount of legumes (black beans, lentils) or wholemeal pasta, combined with various vegetables.

Tips for tube protein diet:
- You can reverse lunch with dinner and vice versa.
- Do not skip meals and do not consume less than what is given to you in the diet plan.
- Drink at least 2 liters of water a day.
- In case of hunger between meals, eat cucumber.
- Use lemon, vinegar, garlic, onion and spices as condiments to the salad.
- Salt foods normally.
- Do not consume chewing gum or candies unless you are absolutely sure that it does not contain sugar. You can drink coffee, tea with lemon or lemon juice without sugar. You can use aspartame in coffee or tea.
- If you do not eat vegetables in one of the meals, double the amount in the next.
- Steam, grill or microwave food.
- You can occasionally use fresh tomatoes to cook meat or fish.
- Vegetables can be eaten raw, boiled, steamed, alone or in combination, even in a blender.
- Avoid sedentary activities (watching TV, spending time on the computer, using the elevator).
- Exercise on a daily basis (jogging, cycling, running, aerobics).
