Abdominoplasty
Stretching the abdomen during pregnancy results in the appearance of stretch marks and the creation of relaxation in both the muscles and the skin. Stretch marks can not be cured, but their appearance can be reduced by daily use of a cream with a special composition, as well as by applying a special laser to regenerate the pixel skin. For the treatment of relaxation, abdominoplasty is indicated, during which muscles are sutured and the excess skin is removed. Depending on the size of the problem, the plastic surgeon will suggest the appropriate surgery. Thus, minor relaxation is treated with mini abdominoplasty, where the navel stays in the same place. In a greater degree of relaxation, normal abdominoplasty is performed, with the incision extending from one side to the other, while often the operation is combined with liposuction for a better aesthetic result.
Depending on the extent of the problem, the surgery lasts from one to two and a half hours, while it always requires hospitalization for one or two 24 hours. Shorter is the mini-abdominoplasty, which lasts one and a half hours and is performed with a surgical incision just above the adolescent. An elastic bandage is then placed around the abdomen for three weeks. It will take about three weeks for them to return to their daily routine – during which all housework is prohibited. Also for a month and until the completion of the recovery process, exercise in the gym is prohibited, on the contrary, walking is advisable. Sutures are absorbable but should be checked by your doctor every week.
Local Fat – Loosening
Local fat, which remains after pregnancy and resists both diet and exercise, can be removed by liposuction. The method is suitable for healthy women, with normal body weight or slightly overweight but characterized by good quality skin. If the skin shows a lot of sagging with many stretch marks, liposuction must be combined with the removal of excess skin in the area (eg abdomen, thighs), so that the plastic surgeon can remove more fat. Then essentially liposculpture is done, after the lines of the body are redesigned.
Liposuction and liposculpture are especially popular in our country where many women have a “pear” body type, with an open circumference and a predisposition for the distribution of excess fat in the buttocks and thighs. This is because they belong to the foremost surgeries that correct minor imperfections, which, however, have a decisive effect on the appearance of every woman since they spoil the symmetry in her “lines”. Prerequisite for the permanence of the result is proper nutrition, weight maintenance and regular exercise.
Liposuction removes excess fat with very small surgical incisions a few millimeters long, with the help of very thin metal tubes and the negative pressure created by a suction machine. Depending on the case, this can be achieved with liquid technique, ultrasound or electrical assistance. For three to four weeks after surgery it is necessary to use a rubber lycra corset daily. Bruises and swelling can disappear in the areas from which fat was removed, but they quickly subside thanks to the advanced techniques now used by plastic surgeons. After one week it is allowed to return to work and after three weeks to exercise at home or in the gym.
If the problem is not very severe then the non-invasive Accent laser method can be applied topically (on the abdomen, buttocks or wherever there is relaxation). It is the most modern and effective method for the treatment of relaxation, local thickness and cellulite with radiofrequency. The treatment is effective for a flat stomach, thinner hips and thighs, while at the same time offering firmness in the extremities. In areas where local thickening occurs (alone or in combination with cellulite) accent treatment can also be applied with significant results. In the abdomen it can improve the quality of the skin, especially after pregnancy. It also intensifies the tightening, helps in the loss of points, while it is equally effective in the “buns” on the side of the waist, in the thighs, in the buttocks, in the knees and in general in the areas with fat and cellulite. The accent is also applied on the face to tighten the skin and deal with wrinkles.
The treatment is repeated every 10-15 days or so. It usually takes a total of 4-6 sessions, depending on the area, the size of the problem and the response of each skin. The results are immediate, but improvement also occurs during the first 3-4 months after application.
